Hello,
We set the account requirement to be optional-in other words, the customer can open an account if they choose before placing an order. If they prefer not to create an account, they can just guest check out and finish the order.
Recently, we have customers complain that they cannot open an account. So we realized that we do not have any where on our website a button to let our customers to open an account.
Question 1-what is the best way to let our customers to register? Should we create a page ?
In addition-I understand that mywesite/account/register should let our customers register. However, when we go to this address, account/register, it is blank.
Question 2-How can I activate an account registration form/page?

There's 2 possible customer login URLs by default.
1. https://yourstore.myshopify.com/account/login
2. https://yourstore.account.myshopify.com/
Replace "yourstore" with your Shopify subdomain.
And for Register/Signup the URL becomes:
https://yourstore.myshopify.com/account/register
If any of these URLs don't work - then refer to the documentation here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/customers/customer-accounts
Also, don't forget that forcing a customer to signup before purchasing might reduce your conversion rates... I would recommend testing it with and without the Register mandate. To see what works best for your store.

Thank you for your suggestions. I tried both urls, and both showed only the following message:
But our shop is available and live as we are aware of.
so, the suggestions do not work for us. I also read the Help file link, and that did not help us either.
I hope that you and or the experts can see from the error message what may be the root cause of this problem. Thank you so much.
This looks like some of the feature of your store have been disabled.
Please go to the Support section in your admin. And connect to a Shopify Support agent via Live Chat or email.
They will be able to provide you with clear details as to why your store is in this state.
I had the very same problem. I am using an own template, where I edited the colors. Then I realized, the login / sign up button became black on the black background.... 🙂
