My domain expired, how can I renew?

Hey I just really need help renewing my domain, I accidentally forgot to set auto renew and as far as I’ve found I cannot renew an expired domain on my own.

I'm Miles from the Social Care team at Shopify.

As you alluded to, expired domains can only be renewed by Shopify Support. As such, I've sent you an email to get this process started. If you could please reply to that email with the requested information, I'll go ahead and renew the domain for you.

You can learn more about domain renewals in our handy guide here: https://bit.ly/358ftoL.

Once the domain is renewed, you may need to wait 2-4 hours for any errors to disappear from Online Store > Domains. Once you see the domain in "Connected" status, you can then use the domain once again.

We can help with public information here in the community, but for account-specific issues such as domain errors or billing issues, we would need to look at your account. Before contacting support, please check out our guides on connecting a domain to Shopify and transferring a domain to Shopify to see if they help resolve your issues. If not, please continue below to contact support.

To contact our support team, first head to https://help.shopify.com/en/questions and log into your store. Once you've logged in, you'll be prompted to ask about a topic.

Doing this will present you with links to relevant documentation on our Help Center, but there will also be an option to contact us directly if you require further help.

Clicking on this button at the bottom will then present you with the different support options available.
