My favicon doesn't show up in Google search

If I'm on my site, the favicon shows, but if I Google it, the result has no favicon next to it.

In Google search results the favicon doesn't show up in the list as shown below:

When google searching on the PHONE it usually should show beside the website link.

I have this same problem. My Favicon is showing on Desktop up on the tab (same as ur screanshot), but not showing when searching using the phone while it is still showing the sort of Grey earth/circle icon.

It involves adding an additional advanced SEO meta tag into your site code in order for Google to consider placing it.

It isn't enough to just add the favicon in Theme Settings > Favicon for it to appear in Google Search?

I am glad to participate in this topic.
Many shopify themes have a place to set favicon.
I will take Kalles shopify theme as an example.

Once you have set it, your favicon will appear in Google search results.
