My Mold Inspection Site is Displaying Incorrect Product Information on Shopify

I run a mold inspection and removal service and use Shopify to sell mold detection kits. Recently, I’ve noticed that the product details on my site are showing incorrect information like wrong descriptions and pricing for some of the testing kits. I’ve already tried:
  • Double-checking the product data in Shopify admin.
  • Refreshing my product listings manually.
  • Clearing browser cache and checking on different devices, but the problem persists.
If you’ve encountered a similar issue with Shopify, how did you fix it? I would appreciate any advice or tips!

Hi,

This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

This is for informational purposes only. For medical advice or diagnosis, consult a professional.

It's concerning that your Shopify product details are displaying incorrect information. Here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Check Your Theme:
  • Inspect Element: Use your browser's developer tools (right-click and select "Inspect") to examine the HTML code of your product pages. Look for any discrepancies between the displayed information and the code. This can help pinpoint where the incorrect information is being pulled from.
  • Theme Code: If you're comfortable with coding, you can inspect your theme's code (specifically the product-template.liquid file) to see how product information is being displayed. Look for any custom code that might be overriding the default product data.
  1. Check for Third-Party Apps:
  • Disable Apps Temporarily: Temporarily disable any third-party apps that might be affecting your product pages. This can help isolate whether an app is causing the issue.
  1. Clear Shopify Cache:
  • Admin Panel: Go to your Shopify admin panel and clear the cache under Settings > Performance.
  1. Contact Shopify Support:
  • If all else fails: Reach out to Shopify Support. They have access to more advanced tools and can investigate the issue further. Provide them with as much detail as possible, including screenshots of the incorrect information and a list of the steps you've already taken.

Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.

Best regards,
