Hello!

It doesn't seem that what I sell is adding up to what is deposited into my account. I am not a drop shipper and I am considering Shopify's fees.

For example, month-to-date I have done $35,704.63in total sales. Yet, only $18,693 has been paid out to me! Now, $13,891.16 was in Paypal transactions, which I should go to my paypal account (even though my Paypal account seems to be off by $400). ALSO, $3,747.64 says it's in Shop pay installments but where is that money?? When does that get deposited to me???

This is my first month on Shopify and this is all confusing and frustrating and I really need some help!

Thank you!

Hi, @PaperMinty.

When it comes to getting paid, how the money gets to you depends on which payment provider your customer chooses to use upon checkout on your store. For example, you will be paid by PayPal for orders that are captured on the PayPal gateway. They would have their own transaction fees associated with using their payment gateway too, so these would need to be checked with PayPal if you'd like to ensure that you're receiving the correct amount on your end.

With Shop Pay Instalment orders, you will be paid by our partner Affirm via Shop Pay Instalments. Because this is different from your Shopify Payments payouts, there is currently no control over payout schedules and they are sent in batches separately from Shopify Payments payouts. You can also expect to see more than one payout on the same date, or payouts that don't align with your custom payout schedule. In saying, this you can still view your Shop Pay Instalments payout information within the Shopify admin, just like you would when viewing the Shopify Payments payouts.

For your Shopify Payments payouts, depending on when the order payments were captured, not all of your monthly sales will be reflected within the same payout. If a particular order has missed the payout cutoff time, then it would be included on the next payout date, which can result in what appears to be a payment discrepancy. If you are looking at your Shopify analytics and are seeing particular discrepancies between the Sales and Payments finance reports, have a read through our Help Centre document here for a full explanation on why this may be occurring.

You can also track your Shopify Payments payouts and see any upcoming one within your Settings > Payments page, and by clicking on the View payouts button in the Shopify Payments section.

If you're having issues locating any of your payouts and would like further help, you can reach out to our Support Team. While we're not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community Forums at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you. You can visit our Help Centre here, and log in to your account to create a support request. From there, our team can take a closer look at your account and payout information, and clarify any other account-specific questions you may have.
