My shopify account just got deactivated due to AUP violation...

I just got my shopify account terminated due to an AUP violation. I looked over this and didn't see anything related to AUP violations on my store.

The really scummy thing is they deactivated me the day after taking my $115 for my shopify/app subscriptions....

I already invested thousands of dollars into this business. Countless hours.

I sent several emails with my business document. My DBA certificate, my business license, my resellers permit my photo ID.

Waiting for them to get back to me. Is this worth fighting or is a lost cause? Shopify should reallyyyy warn people before terminating their accounts... I sold on A-m-Z previously and though it's no picnic it's still a lot more professional how they deal with sellers.

If there is an issue A-m-Z generally guides you through and explains the full story of what's wrong and what you can do. Shopify is different it seems. I've only been using it for about a month and now my store is deactivated and I have no idea why.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your input

Hi,

This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

It's incredibly frustrating to have your Shopify store terminated, especially without a clear explanation or warning. The sudden deactivation and loss of funds can be a significant setback.

Steps to Take:

  1. Review the AUP Thoroughly: Even if you couldn't find a direct violation, re-read Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) carefully. Sometimes, unintended consequences or misunderstandings can lead to violations
  2. Gather Evidence: Compile any evidence that supports your claim of non-violation. This might include screenshots of your product listings, emails with customer support, or any documentation related to your business practices.
  3. Escalate to Shopify Support: Continue to reach out to Shopify support with your evidence and request a detailed explanation for the termination. Be persistent and polite in your communication
  4. Seek External Assistance: If you're unable to resolve the issue directly with Shopify, consider consulting with a legal professional or a Shopify expert who can provide guidance and potentially represent you
  5. Explore Alternative Platforms: While it's important to address the Shopify termination, it might be prudent to explore other e-commerce platforms as a backup plan.

Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.
