All things Shopify and commerce
When I go to view my website, this is what shows up. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Hi @Alltech,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved. To confirm I'm fully understanding, are you able to share the theme that you're currently using?
If you haven't done so already, I'd encourage you to install a fresh copy of your current theme to see if this issue persists. This will allow us to determine whether the error is specific to your theme and/or due to a customization.
If you're not seeing that error appear on a fresh copy of your theme, this would indicate that a customization may have been completed within the shops theme editor. Due to this, you will want to revert those changes to ensure that error no longer appears.
Prior to making any adjustments, you will however, want to create a copy of your current theme. This ensures that you have a backup, just in case any mistakes are made. To learn more about this and how you can manage your themes, you can check out our Duplicating Your Theme document.
Alternatively, if you're using a free Shopify theme, you can connect with us directly. This will allow our support team to investigate further as we're unable to access any account specific information through the Community.

I duplicated the theme, and the problem persisted. The theme I am using is Dawn.
This usually means that you've made edits to your stylesheet which prevent it from compiling.
Have a look at your latest edits -- it could be that there is a bracket missing or an extra one...
I haven’t made any edits to the code, could there still be an error?
Can you share a link to your store? (preview link to the broken theme if you're currently have a different theme published).
Ah, that's a different one -- it's not about your theme!
Where have you gotten your domain from?
The problem is that your site does not have an SSL certificate for this domain name therefore it can't load literally any of the supporting files -- scripts, stylesheets, images...
When you add a new domain name to your store you must ensure that there is a SSL certificate matching this name.
Read https://beta-help.shopify.com/en/manual/domains/managing-domains/secure-connections for further info (they mention TLS certificate --- it's the same as SSL cert. in your case).
I bought the domain directly off of Shopify. Should they provide an SSL? Or how would I acquire that?
