Hey! We’re building a dropshipping style marketplace and most of our vendors are selling by syncing their inventory’s and receiving pushed orders from our store to theirs.
However, a select few are selling natively on our site but we’re struggling to work out how to notify them of orders. I’ve managed to create an automation in Shopify Flow that can email them when an order with their product present is placed.
However I’m struggling to get enough information in the email. Is there a way to use custom liquid to template out the email in Flow and is there a way to attached a packing slip or order page as a PDF to an automated email?
Open to other suggestions! Thanks 🙏
Hey! Awesome, yeah would be very interested in hearing how you tackled it.
I’ve come up with a less-that-perfect workaround but it would be great to hear your thoughts! Thanks 🙏
I don't know if a PDF would be possible, but see if there's a way to include a CSV. If that doesn't work or you can't find a solution with Flow, you could use Order Automator to send order details in email + CSV. You can also set it up so that the recipients of the email can enter the tracking information remotely.
The app is customizable so if you don't find any other solutions you can request a specific solution. I don't think there's a way to attach a packing slip or PDF via the Shopify API, but there may be other solutions.
