All things Shopify and commerce
hey, im having trouble adding some items to a drop-down menu but some work some don't..... I recorded a video with the link can anyone help?
Hey @Ofek,
Based on your video, it looks like you know how to do it -- the menus are just being really 'finicky'. It's like that for me too.
I found that when you're trying to drag something into an existing dropdown, it's best not to try and drag it to the top or bottom. Instead, put it in the middle, and then move the other things around it afterwards, to get the ordering to your preference.
Also, when you're drag-and-dropping the items, don't do it quickly. Like hold it in the spot you want it to be for a second or two, before you let go of the mouse button.
It definitely takes a bit of finessing and getting used to (it's not just you!).
Edit: also, as @enzoyuna2023 pointed out, the navigation menus can only be 3 levels/layers deep.
Ex.
> Shirts
>> Tshirts
>>>Mens
>>>Womens
... but you wouldn't be able to add another item under "womens" or "mens"
Ex.
> Shirts
>> Tshirts
>>>Mens
>>>> Large
>>>> Small
>>>Womens
>>>>Large
>>>>Small
... as that would take things to a 4th level, which isn't possible.
Cheers,
Stephen

hey
Thank You but since when is it only 3 levels?
I'm pretty sure it's always been that way. I can't remember it being more.
