Hi @Roni-shop

First, it will be hard to get a Shopify staff member to take the time to look at your store, but I am sure there will be some replays from experienced people here. One piece of advice is to search for other discussions. There are a lot of them, and some tips are constantly repeated, which can improve your store.

Starting a business is hard, especially in the pet business. So have some patience but also try to improve your store and do not expect if you pay some ads that you get sales straight away. But specifically here are things you could check out and improve:

  • Domain name, while there are some stores that are still using .myshopify.com subdomain in most cases, you should get a proper domain. It gives you some credibility and while that alone is not enough to give you sales it is a step in the right direction. There are a lot of scams and fake sites, with or without a domain, so just having a domain does not mean you should completely trust the shop.
  • Build your brand a bit, your logo is nice but what is your brand name? On your checkout, it says "My store", not reassuring.
  • One thing for me that is a big red flag, and why I would not buy from you and just look elsewhere is the lack of contact information. Are you a business, have some registration details, address, phone, email... nothing. Would you buy from a store that you can not contact in any way if there is an issue with an order? Would you leave a credit card details?
  • Alos if you do not give any details how do customers know what is domestic and what international shipping is for you? Are you in the UK, US, or Japan ?
  • You have enough products to split them into several collections, which is better for organizing, customer journey, and SEO
  • You asked if your store looks professional, well besides previous points it looks OK. It is a free theme, mostly configured correctly(remove social icons in the footer if all are empty links), with nice colors. But that is just a basic condition and there is a lot more so you can convert more visitors into customers.
  • The About Us page is not quite about you, it sounds like chatGPT made some paragraphs. Some good words do not mean much. There is nothing personal there and that does not give much trust to customers.

To repeat it is not easy to start selling online. To me, it looks like an unsuccessfully fake store. Still, a scam/fake store has more sales  I guess. But they do not last long.  But that is just me, regular visitors could notice a few things and I give you a few reasons they do not buy. And you know there are a lot of good, reputable stores online, so take a look at the few you trust the most and check what they did right.

And do check https://help.shopify.com/en for any questions you might have or https://www.youtube.com/@learnwithshopify to learn a bit in general.

And be careful to whom you give access to a store or how you make a collaborator account. There are a lot of scams there too, like someone could promise you an easy 40K in a week but you can just lose money.

Take care and I do wish you luck.

Kind regards

Hello @Roni-shop

I understand your concern about not making sales despite having sessions on your store. While I can't directly access your Shopify store or provide direct support like Shopify staff would, I can definitely offer some tips and insights on areas you can improve to boost your sales.

Here are some common factors that might be affecting your store's performance and some steps you can take:

1. Review Your Store Design and User Experience

  • Clear Navigation: Make sure that your store is easy to navigate. Your customers should quickly be able to find what they're looking for.
  • Mobile Optimization: Ensure your store is mobile-friendly. A large portion of traffic comes from mobile devices, and if your site isn’t optimized for mobile, you might lose sales.
  • Professional Design: Your store’s design plays a major role in converting visitors into buyers. Ensure that the theme you are using is visually appealing, clean, and professional. This could include high-quality images and a clear brand message.

2. Improve Product Pages

  • High-Quality Product Images: Ensure your product images are high-quality and show the products from multiple angles. People want to see exactly what they are buying.
  • Compelling Product Descriptions: Write detailed and compelling product descriptions. Focus on the benefits of the product, how it solves a problem, or its unique features.
  • Pricing: Be transparent about pricing and shipping costs. Ensure your prices are competitive.

3. Customer Trust & Reviews

  • Add Customer Reviews: Social proof, like customer reviews, can significantly increase trust. If you don't have reviews, consider using an app like Loox or Judge.me to gather reviews.
  • About Us & Contact Pages: Make sure you have an About Us page with your brand story and a Contact Us page with clear communication details. Customers are more likely to buy from a business they trust.

4. Drive Traffic to Your Store

  • Traffic Sources: You mentioned getting over 100+ sessions, but if you're not converting those visitors, it may be due to the quality of traffic. Here are some ways to get targeted traffic:
    • Paid Ads (Facebook/Instagram): Invest in Facebook and Instagram ads to target specific demographics that are interested in your products. Shopify has built-in tools to run ads directly from your store.
    • SEO: Optimize your store for search engines by using relevant keywords in product titles, descriptions, and meta tags. Free SEO apps like SEO Booster can help with this.
    • Influencer Marketing: Partner with influencers or micro-influencers in your niche to drive more engaged traffic.

5. Check Your Analytics

  • Google Analytics: Use Google Analytics to see where your traffic is coming from and how visitors are interacting with your store. Look at your bounce rate (if it’s high, it means users are leaving your store quickly).
  • Hotjar or Shopify Analytics: These tools can give you heatmaps or recordings of how users interact with your site, helping you see if there are issues with your store design or checkout process.

6. Optimize Checkout and Payment Options

  • Streamline the Checkout Process: Reduce the number of steps it takes to complete a purchase. Offering options like Shopify Payments can make the process easier for your customers.
  • Multiple Payment Methods: Offer multiple payment options, such as PayPal, credit cards, Apple Pay, etc.

7. Discounts and Offers

  • Offer Discounts: Running a limited-time promotion or discount can encourage customers to make a purchase. Consider offering a first-time customer discount or a free shipping offer to entice buyers.
  • Abandoned Cart Recovery: Use Shopify’s built-in abandoned cart recovery email feature to remind customers who added items to their cart but didn’t complete the checkout.

8. Follow-up and Retargeting

  • Email Marketing: Use email marketing to re-engage visitors who haven’t made a purchase. You can use Shopify’s email marketing feature or apps like Klaviyo to send automated email campaigns.
  • Retargeting Ads: Retarget users who have visited your site but didn’t purchase through Google or Facebook retargeting ads.

9. SEO & Content Marketing

  • Blogging: Write helpful articles related to your niche or products to attract more organic traffic.
  • Use Product Tags: Add relevant product tags for better searchability on Google and within your Shopify store.
