Need to mark order as fulfilled

Need to mark order as fulfilled

I work with a Fulfillment App, but personally mailed out an item that I had on hand - just asking for the shipping costs as payment. I created a draft order to send an invoice, which was paid through Bank Deposit. Now I can't seem to mark the order as 'Fulfilled', despite repeatedly trying the "Mark Order As Fulfilled" option that was originally available.

I don't want to Request Fulfillment and create confusion with my Supplier, but I also dont want to have seemingly unfulfilled orders sitting in my orders list. I believe this function may have changed over the years, and nothing I am finding online now seems to work. Any ideas surely welcome!

Hello @Annieonline

This is because Shopify is assigning fulfillment to your app automatically, which blocks manual fulfillment. Since you processed it manually, no problem: here's a quick fix for this;

- Open the order in your admin

- Hit the three dots (...) next to the fulfillment area.

- Choose "Edit Fulfillment Location" or "Change Fulfillment Service".

- Switch it to Manual, save, and the "Mark as Fulfilled" option will return.

If that doesn't show, you can re-add the product to the new draft order manually with fulfillment to manual.

I hope this helps. I'd appreciate a like.

Thank you so much! It took a few more 'tweaks' to get this to work, but after you pointed me in the right direction, I was able to find my way to eventually completing the task. Much gratitude  🙏

I appreciate your reply, although this wasn't quite my exact situation. I
did initially see the “Mark Order As Fulfilled” option, but it would not
apply to my order - and eventually disappeared.

I have since been helped, but always appreciate all thoughts. Thank you!
