Hey,
Just made my shopify account 30 min ago and I am trying to customize any theme, but it doesn't seem to work. I keep getting this:
This page is not compatible with the editor due to one of the following issues:
I tried a free theme, same error. I downloaded some themes from Envato, same error.
Any idea what this is?

This error can happen when the Shopify theme editor has trouble loading, often due to theme compatibility issues or configuration settings in your browser or Shopify account. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve it:
Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, a cache or cookie issue in your browser can cause the editor to fail. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser.
Try Incognito Mode: Some browser extensions or settings can interfere with the Shopify editor. Open a new incognito or private browsing window and try loading the editor there.
Disable Browser Extensions: Some extensions (like ad blockers) can conflict with Shopify’s editor. Try disabling extensions temporarily and see if that resolves the issue.
Check Theme Compatibility: Not all themes from third-party sources like Envato are compatible with Shopify's editor. To ensure compatibility, try starting with a free theme from the Shopify Theme Store and see if it loads.
Use Supported URLs: If you’re trying to edit a page that redirects to a custom URL or app, it may not be compatible with the editor. Stick to standard Shopify pages (like homepage, product pages) for editing, especially while setting up.
Check Shopify Status: Occasionally, issues with Shopify’s servers can cause the editor to malfunction. You can check Shopify’s status here.

I'm not an expert here, but I do know that you will need to provide some extra information in most cases to get the help you seem to need. Please update your post with details like the browser you're using (Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera ?) and the operating system (laptop Windows 11, Apple iOS on iPhone, Mac on a desktop ?) and any other details that won't compromise your security (blur out details specific to you if you post screenshots, such as address, billing info, etc).
From your sparse summary, however, my first suggestion is that perhaps your browser is unfriendly with Shopify (some are) and it might be a good idea to try with basic Chrome (seems the most Shopify-friendly browser out there) if you're not using that. If you are, my apologies, I don't have a better suggestion for you based on what little I know of your situation. Hope you get resolution fast! 🙂
