All things Shopify and commerce
We duplicate products all the time for our shop. Just last week, the settings for this changed and now includes a default check box that will duplicate the barcode. Now we have to manually uncheck this box. This is inconvenient. I found that this was an issue back in 2020 that was apparently resolved. I haven't had this issue in 3 years and this is a NEW inconvenience. I would prefer to see "duplicate product" go back to the way it was. Is there a solution other than manually unchecking barcode each time you duplicate a product?

Yep, 100% agree. Not sure what the logic was to change this default. As someone that has been a developer for many years (decades), and now manages product development, the goal of any UI change is to have minimal impact to the user, unless the new feature is so amazing that it's worth learning a new trick. I'm not seeing anything new.... other than a change to the way duplicate products has been for the last few years. If this is something you want to continue with, might I suggest there being an option somewhere in the settings that allows the user to determine what values they DO want to duplicate by default.
