All things Shopify and commerce
After updating the category from, for example, 'shirts & tops' to 'blouse' as recommended on Shopify, the products are now not accepted on Google. They were working fine before but there is now no option to go back and re-select 'shirts & tops'. The new, more detailed categories which don't match Google seem to get rejected. Any ideas how we could fix this?
@-Jen- I think google rejects products on a thumbnail base, Google introduced the feature to regenrate the images for listing on googe.
I have the same problem. My workaround, go to the Google Merchant Center and create a feed rule that changes the product category to a fixed value in my case 212 for shirts&tops that works for 80% of the items. the rest I have to edit manually in the merchant center under products. not optimal and quite some work, but it works.
