All things Shopify and commerce
Hey guys! I have been receiving a number of messages through our website chat about fraudulent orders. I have identified that there has been a company which have set up a website under the same name as ours. The difference is they have hyphenated the two words. Please, please be careful and if you see any ads from "sinclair-london.com'' or "brown-london.com" please do not buy as this company is using our name (Sinclair London) and selling fraudulent products on a Shopify platform. It looks like they steal legitimate clothing companies names, set up a website using your name and sell products. They then suggest they are closing down offering big discounted products but then consumers cannot return or refund. They then close the store and disappear. This was the case with brown-london.com
We are SINCLAIR LONDON (not hyphenated), we have built the brand from scratch and our lawyers are on the case. I would like to know which department to speak to in Shopify so that they can investigate and get this scam website taken down before it ruins any more small businesses.
Thank you Darraghcord. We have a registered logo with the incorporated brand name but I will aim to do the same with just the the words itself.
