New Set of Photos for Each Variant

I find it very weird that Shopify combine all variant photos together. I am current using another shop platform, where when I click on a variant, it would show a new set of photos specifically for that variant.

Is there something like that for Shopify?

On the product page for the variant.

Go to the list of variants, click on edit, you can add separate images for each variant there

That's only one photo for the variant, I was hoping to show multiple photos for that variant.

Unless you can get a developer to write some code, that is not possible.

The only way around this is to add  more images in the main product
