We are opening a small brick & mortar store with a online store, we are new to shopify and in the process of learning and getting everything setup up for a soft opening in a few days.  We went back and forth on who we would use for our new store and decided on shopify. Today needed to reach out to support to see why my hardware order has not shipped, contacting tech support via the chatbot was a slow time consuming process, this was simple issues that could & should have been resolved in a couple of minutes. I ended up resolving the issue myself; found an email from hardware team in my spam folder, they needed my web site address to process the order, odd they needed that since I had to be logged in order.

My questions/concerns are: is this a typical interaction with support? Is Support usually helpful?  This was a simple problem I am concerned if we ever have a real issue and we need support help how quickly can I expect help from the support team and the quality of of that help?

What has been your experience?   Help us feel we made the right choice with going with shopify.

I've had mostly good experiences with Shopify support. While I haven't run into major issues myself, I do see Shopify staff being active and helpful in the community, which is reassuring. It's great that you were able to resolve the issue on your own - sometimes that happens, and with more experience, you’ll likely need less and less support over time. The community here is also live and ready to assist if you ever need it. Wishing you the best of luck with your new store! You’ve made a solid choice, and it’s all about learning as you go.
