All things Shopify and commerce
I'm having an issue where on the products & collections pages, I don't have any buttons for "add Product" or "create collection." This is a customers site which we are a partner on, I'm inclined to think it's some kinda of permission issue, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing that. Anyone ran into this, and Is this the right direction to explore, or am I missing something simple? 😉

This is an accepted solution.
Assuming it's a permissions issue, and that I didn't have the customer grant enough access, I've followed up with him to have him go into his admin panel and give us full access. Will follow up if that's the cause, which it seems like it should be.

Hi @Legnd
You are right. It looks like you do not have permission to edit the product. You can ask the store owner to grant you access by following the instructions below
Hello @Legnd,
I am Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $7Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot. I am here to support you.
To address this issue, follow these steps.
-> Verify that your partner account has the necessary permissions to add products and create collections. In Shopify, permissions are managed through the partner account. Ensure you have the appropriate authorization for these actions.
-> Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can often resolve display issues. Try clearing the cache and cookies, then revisit the admin page to check if the buttons reappear.
-> As an admin or staff member of the store, you should generally have full access to manage products and collections. However, if you are assigned to a custom staff role, the store owner might have restricted certain permissions.
-> Browser extensions or cookies could interfere with the functionality of specific buttons on the Shopify admin. Attempt using a different browser or open the admin in incognito mode to see if the buttons appear there.
-> The presence of third-party apps installed in the store could be causing conflicts leading to the missing buttons. Try disabling any recently added apps one by one to see if the issue gets resolved.
-> Right-click on the page where the buttons should be and select "Inspect". Look for any console errors that might be related to the missing buttons. This can provide valuable insights into the problem.
-> If you have tried the above steps and the issue persists, consider reaching out to Shopify Support. As a partner, you have access to dedicated support, and they can investigate the matter further on the backend."
Don't hesitate to ask if you need any further clarification.
Gina

Thanks, the same issue happened to me. I cannot add a product or blog post until I uninstall the extension per your instruction.
Big thanks!
