All things Shopify and commerce
My 'New order' pop-up notification have stopped appearing on my iPhone. Settings all seem to be correct. Is this a common problem? I'm wondering if it's an IOS issue rather than a Shopify one. Also, and this may just be a complete coincidence, this problem started the day I updated my DMARC records. Could that have anything to do with it? It's such a pain having to constantly check my emails to see if I've received an order.
Thanks guys
Mark
Same for me - notifications on iOS just stopped working all of a sudden. Reinstalling the app did not work.
Same here!
It seems there a re more problems presenting themselves & less customer service to help
I miss that ka-ching sound! LOL
It's happened before a few years ago as well. Came back after a few days. Have you logged a ticked with support?
It's like a little dopamine rush each time!
I haven't contacted support yet, just wanted to check in with the community first. Seems like I'm not the only one to have this issue. Good to hear that it came back for you.
Definitely gives the day a good boost when you hear them coming through! Currently still off on this side, but hopefully they fix the notifications soon!
We have the same issue on our iPhones and iPads since Saturday.
Same... ours started Sunday (yesterday). Was going to open a ticket with Shopify but appears to be a widespread issue so hopefully they are working on. Thanks for starting the thread.
same here, no iPhone push notifications since Saturday for myself and my wife on different phones.
There is nothing noted on status.shopify.com …maybe they are unaware?
My push notifications began again this evening. Woop! I didn’t do anything they just randomly came back.
Same for me. I reported it yesterday and they looked into it and told me it should be working. Still isn’t. I reported it again with no answer. I know several other shops having the same issue. Has been since Friday night for me.
Mine stopped working on Saturday night too - I miss the kerching!
Same here, tried reinstalling app, re-booting iphone etc but still not working.
I have been having the same issue for a few days. Being we have a physical store where it's important to pull orders very quickly to get them off the floor this has created a serious workflow issue
Same here! It's been a few days of constantly checking that new orders are removed from display in the brick and mortar store.
I deleted and reinstalled the app and restarted phone and seems to be ok now.
Yes it worked for me too
Also raising my hand to have this looked at. Hopefully the activity here helps their bots to know it's an issue...
We have the same problem but weirdly they are working on one of the iPhones we use but not on the other three
Same problem here on my iPhone. I get push notifications for new sign in’s but not for sales.
Has anyone heard of they are working on it? I got a reply with the setting of how to turn on notifications (but they are set fine and I never turned them off), but still not getting notification pushes to iPhone (for past few days). Anyone else hear of a fix?
I am also no longer receiving new order alerts on any device including laptop and Android devices.
**Possible Fix iPhone14 Pro and Pro Max**
My girlfriend and I deleted the app then reinstalled it. Before opening it we turned the off our phones then turned them back on. Opened the app and made sure to “allow notifications” at the prompt. On your laptop in your shopify admin account go into your settings->Notifications Should say “Staff Notifications” then find your phone under “Recipients” and click the three dots next to it and press “Send Test” Should take 10-20 seconds.
I can confirm this solution worked for me as well.
What I experienced is that my phone device was removed from the recipients section, but after following the steps above, it appeared and it works now fine.
That’s worked thank you!!
Worked for me too! Thanks
worked for me too, thanks Moooo
Worked for me. Thanks so much!
I followed these instructions and still couldn't get it to work. I thought it was because I had iOS 18.1. But the last thing I did worked. Under the same three dots that says "Send Test", there's an option to "Turn Off" notifications to your iPhone. I did this and turned it back on. I hit the "Send Test" button and got the Kaching! Thanks for the help Moooo!
Same issue for 1 week now, I'm sure this is a common problem amongst all shopify users and the problem exists both on my android and IOS device, what is the fix to it ?
Same here. No notifications on iphone app. Tried to reset the notifications. Closed, uninstalled, installed etc. nothing worked. Please shopify if you read this, this seems to be a common problem. Please help and provide us a solution. Thanks in advance.
I never even got mine. I was so excited that was a feature but when I finally started getting orders, no pop up notifications. Just email notifications. I was looking forward to seeing those notifications like they show on Youtube. 😆

Hi there, @Sothysithbebe24! Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community with your feedback around your notifications not working on the Shopify Mobile App! My name is Imogen. It's good to meet you!
I do have some suggestions here that you can try to see if you can get these notifications re-enabled:
If your issues persist after following these steps, then reach out to our Support Team via our Help Center so we can collect some information from you, and do some more in-depth troubleshooting.

Okay, so you want some peace and quiet, huh? No problem! Just head to your Settings app, then tap on Notifications. From there, you can either turn off notifications for specific apps or go all out and turn off the big "Allow Notifications" switch at the top. Boom! No more pesky pings and dings.
If you want a quick break from everything, try turning on Do Not Disturb. It's like a little vacation for your phone. You can schedule it or just turn it on whenever you need a breather.
Remember, you can always turn notifications back on later if you miss the chaos. Sometimes, a little silence can be a good thing!
