All things Shopify and commerce
Hello All -
My site is setup as a dropshipping site, using Oberlo as the sourcing tool. Everything works fine between Oberlo and Shopify. My problem is when posting my items to eBay, it appears as if my location is being used for their item location, and eBay is not allowing my product to post because it believe the product is in California, when it is in China.
I know there has to be a way around this, but I couldn't figure it out, and Shopify customer service suggested I might change my address. That's obviously not the right answer, since the products can be from multiple places/countries.
Any help is appreciated.
Hi Chris,
Nick here from Shopify.
I am thinking a custom fulfillment option could be the workaround you are looking for here. The process would remain as normal for the customer, but once they have placed the order, through the custom fulfillment set up you have, it will send an email to the warehouse holding your item and inform them to ship it. The system would then recognize you are in California, but understand the product is not and create a connection to still have the product shipped to the customer.
Should the process be a little more complicated or custom than that, your best next bet would be to reach out to a Shopify Expert directly about custom building something for you. Working with one of the Shopify Experts to create a custom workflow on this would come with a price, but hopefully worth it in the overall scheme of things should it be a smooth process.
Hope this helps and guides you on the best next steps to take for this.
All the best,
Nick

Hey @Nick ,
I am also having the same problem and it is throwing out all delivery times - I am unable to edit from within Ebay.
RE your hire a shopify expert piece, seems dodge to have to pay extra money for a really basic feature which should be included in a service that is already being paid for.
It's also illegal in some places to say a product is from a different place than the source.
Hey guys,
Found a work around!
What you need to do is upload to Ebay - then go to your product listings on Ebay and then create templates based off the product upload.
Removes the automation, but atleast the product listings are actually accurate.
