Past Product Publish Date - Feature Request

We’re moving from Woocommerce to Shopify and would like to maintain the “first published” dates for products so when sorted by new to old the order is consistent and customers can see the newest products.

This would mean setting the Published dates to years in the past. Currently this isn’t an option in Shopify.

You can add a tag on your newest product and then create a collection that says New Arrivals. 
You can use the same tag to then add a code that shows like a small banner saying "New" on the top right of product card on your collection pages. 
You can create a collection and sort it my Newest/Oldest.
