Payment Hold lasting over two weeks, getting the runaround from chat support

I'm trying to resolve a payment hold after updating my bank account and it's been an absolute nightmare. No communication at all from the verification team.  Chat support just keeps giving me the "wait and see" and "check your spam folders" answers. They don't seem to have any idea what the mythical "Internal Team" is up to. In the meantime, I can't access any funds from recent sales.

 

I've been on Shopify for almost 10 years--long enough to remember when they had phone support and you could get account issues resolved. Now, support is a miserable joke.


Does anyone have any ideas for getting a payment hold ticket escalated for real? I've been interacting with chat twice a week for quite a while and it's getting me nowhere.
