Payment icons on checkout pageq

Hello, 

We are using prestige theme in a shopify advanced plan. Our payment gateway has support for apple pay, but shopify for its restrictions, doesn't allow to add express checkout nor does it give options to add payment icons other than visa, amex and mastercard to the checkout page.  Am i correct to assume this is a dead end and there is no workaround on this unless you move to the 2000 + shopify plan.

We have added icons to the footer and also on the product page, but looking to add it to the checkout page. This is just addign of icons and not trying to modify the settings. Shopify allows amending the text to say what payments are allowed.But no icons.
