All things Shopify and commerce
Hi,
I recently paid for a plan for my shopify website and also a paid for a domain via shopify.
However, I set up my payment plan with my .shopify account by accident and not my domain account. Now my trial has expired on my domain one and I don’t know how to transfer the plan over to domain account and not my .shopify.com account and I can’t open my domain site as the trial has ended.
Can anyone help?
There are two ways we can go about fixing this.
1. If a plan has been selected on the undesired account, it may be easier to transfer the domain to that account as it's not possible to transfer the subscription from one account to another.
2. Depending on when the invoice was generated, we may be able to provide a refund if you fully close the store within 72 hours of the invoice generating. We can then help reactivate your other store and transfer the domain.
In either case, you will need to contact our Support for further assistance.
While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit https://bit.ly/3cJkx8V and log in to your account to create a support request.
Since this is the next step I've marked this reply as the solution for the benefit of others who may discover this topic. Thanks!

Hi Peter, saw how helpful you were above so wanted to contact you and didn't know how so just replied. I'm 18 and have set up a store but want to add a bank account to accept payments, It says verify account which you then must provide ID through passport and utility bills. Im 18 and still leave with parents meaning I don't pay utility bills. Is there a solution? Thanks Josh
The utility bill will need to be under your name.
For proof of home address, we require either a utility bill (e.g. water, electricity, or gas bill) from the past 3 months, a lease agreement (dated) or property insurance (dated). Please note this document should verify the representative's home address.
In some circumstances our banking partners may accept the following:
Another solution, if your parents are comfortable doing so, would be to place one of their names on the Shopify Payments account instead. They would be the contact person for any issues related to Shopify Payments and any earnings would be registered to their name. They can then provide the requested documents to verify the Shopify Payments account.
