Pixel not working on my check out

Hi everyone.

It seems that for some reason when I go to the checkout and payment, the website goes to another part or URL that doesnt allow my pixel to track. Any tips on that?

What information do I need to provide here for better assistance?

it might be because Shopify’s checkout pages are hosted on a different domain (or subdomain) than your main storefront. This can sometimes cause issues with tracking if the pixel isn’t set up to work across domains. Often, resolving this requires ensuring your pixel is configured for cross-domain tracking or using a server-side solution (like the Conversion API for Facebook) so that checkout events are still captured even on Shopify’s secure checkout pages.

It would be useful for me to know a few details:

Which pixel are you using (for example, Facebook, Google, etc.)?
Are you using any apps or custom scripts to implement your pixel?
Do you see any errors in your browser’s console or with a tracking tool like Facebook Pixel Helper?
Is the issue happening on both desktop and mobile?

@Paboff , In Shopify, there are multiple ways of implementing meta pixels. To debug this issue, first you will have to identify the method used for the pixel implementation. Below are the 2 popular methods.

1. Facebook Sales channel for Shopify

2. 3rd party apps, or custom code, or GTM

In case the implementation is done via Facebook Sales channel for Shopify, then the meta pixel helper on Shopify checkout should work.

In case the implementation is done via any other method, then the meta pixel helper on Shopify checkout will not work. Its possible that in this case, if the implemetation is not correct, that the pixel does not even fire on checkout pages.
