hello chat! 

 

so Ive click on 1$ first trial then I dont use it until the due of payment which costs me 65$. How can I stop that? I dont use my shop from the very start and there is one reply that said if it fails for 3rd times, they will automatically deactive our shop. But they keep wanting me for paying until almost a month. Please help me. I dont have money for cancel that subs

Hello,

That sounds super frustrating. Basically, Shopify keeps trying to charge you because your store is technically still active, even if you’re not using it. They’ll keep at it until you either pay up or close the store. Here’s what you can do:

1. Close the Store to Stop the Charges:

  • Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Plan > Deactivate Store.
  • Just follow the steps to shut it down, and they’ll stop charging you.
  • If there’s any info you need to keep (like product listings or customer data), download it before closing.

2. What If Payments Keep Failing?

If they’re trying to charge your card and it keeps failing (like if there’s no money in your account), they’ll try three times. After that, your store gets frozen. When it’s frozen, you can’t access it unless you pay what you owe.

  • Pro tip: Don’t add any money to that payment method until you’ve closed the store, or they might successfully charge you.

3. Ask for a Refund (No Promises, but Worth a Shot):

You could try reaching out to Shopify Support and explain that you didn’t use the store and didn’t realize you’d be charged. They’re not known for giving refunds easily, but they might help out, especially if you never really used the trial.

  • Head over to the Shopify Help Center and contact them through Chat or Email.
  • Just be honest and explain the situation—sometimes they’re more understanding than you’d expect.

4. Heads Up:

  • Once you close the store, you won’t get charged again, but you also won’t be able to reopen it unless you pay off whatever’s due.

thx for your suggestion! Ive already tried the first step, but it doesn't work.. what should I do? they charged me 8th times now even they keep failing
