All things Shopify and commerce
Hey Shopify Community,
I'm attempting to troubleshoot the following...
Some of the text in the description of the products on this webpage is appearing grayed out and it does not respond to color changes.
It's happening with several product pages...Here is a link to one of them: https://mdln.ca/products/unleashing-canvas-print
Here is a screenshot to one...
any help is greatly appreciated!!
Those parts of the description are being wrapped by spans that contain style information:
<span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: #1f2124;">*mockup pictures ... <span data-mce-fragment="1">and may no...</span>. Ca... . </span>
If your are bulk importing product data through CSVs you should clean the product descriptions prior to the import.
If this is happening as you manually edit a products description either cut and repaste-plain shuffle*, or delete and readd that content, or use the html-view of the rich text editor to remove the offending html.
*If you cut content from a rich text editor you may then be able to repaste it as plain text using ctrl+shift+v instead of ctrl+v, results vary by platform. Otherwise shuffle method: cut the content then paste it somewhere that isn't a rich text input like notepade or even your browsers url bar this will convert it to plain text for you to cut one more time to then paste as plain text into the rich text editor.
If your STILL not sure how this is ending up on the frontend it's possible the theme or javascript may be doing this dynamicaly in which case someone should inspect the theme behavior or code more carefully.
If you do need this debugged then contact me by my email for services.
