Problem importing CSV file

I'm trying to import some products via a CSV file.

The file has 896 lines of products.

After importing, I get an error message on the first 300 lines telling me that each of those lines cannot be blank.

However these first 300 lines are no different in make up to the rest.

I know CSV files are temperamental, but this is ridiculous, and it only happens with this sheet of products.

I'm using Google sheets as the CSV editor,

I've attached the relevant file to see if anyone else can spot the issue

I have now solved this problem.

Firstly Shopify really needs to look at how errors are worded, because this error is misleading.

The error was actually blank cells in a column, not rows as was specified!

Secondly, the "Variant Price" is a required value, IF a "compare at price" is stated.

CSV's are tricky enough, and beyond the temperamental, without poor error reporting like this.

Hi

Had a quick look in notepad for your file.

The Handle column values look to be same as Title column with spaces.

Note:

Handles are unique names for each product. They can contain letters, dashes, and numbers, but no spaces, accents, or other characters, including periods. Handles are used in the URL for each product.

https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/using-csv#product-csv-file-format

You would normally set up the handle with dashes for spaces.

Regards

Tom

Hi thanks for that, I will try it, but it doesn't explain why only the first 300 lines show up as errors, and the rest are OK?

I've tried adding the hyphens to the handle, and nothing changes
