Problem with making the cart open on demand.

Hey guys,

I'm adding a small feature to my Theme, and I need the cart to appear after a click on a custom button. My theme is Dawn, and when using Cart type Drawer or Popup notification, I know that my cart is a dialog box.

I try to force it to open by adding the attributes that it has when it begins like "open" and "aria-modal"="true".
but nothing happens.

Any idea how to make it work?

Hey I'm a developer, not a merchant, so my store is just a test store like the default one you get when you create it with the default development products, the theme is Dawn.
