I have a website that I made with Dawn theme, see link below:
I am using the Classic customer accounts version.
The problem that I have is that clients who create an account do not receive the customer account activation email.
Strangely enough clients that are already in my database, which I imported from another database, and create their account on the new website, do receive a customer activation email.
I do have a newsletter subscription box as well in the footer of every page of the website and even there, when one subscribe for the newsletter, doesn't receive any verification email - this seems not to depend on the fact that the client is already in my Shopify customers list or not.
I would like to have verification emails sent out whenever a client creates an account and/or subscribe to the newsletter, and after that a welcome email.
I tried to set them up from the Customer notifications in Notifications in Settings, but without luck.
Any suggestions?

I found a solution for the newsletter box subscription, which is in the footer, enabling the Double-Opt-in.
But I am still looking for a solution regarding the customer account activation email for clients who create an account.
Hello Andre, if I may ask how did you add the checkbox? I also have the same problems as you do.
It sounds like you may need to check your email settings in Shopify to ensure they are configured correctly. Verify that your email address is set up properly and that your email notifications are enabled. If the issue persists, contacting Shopify Support for further assistance would be advisable.
