All things Shopify and commerce
Hi everyone,
happy New Year!!! I need help with figuring out how to sync the product quantities across a collection. For example, I have collection of leggings in 5 colors. I currently display each color separately and don't show the other colors available. The reason for that is I did it one time where I added all the colors available for each pair of leggings, I added the quantity etc.. then one day a customer purchased an Xl burgundy leggings and when I went to fulfill it, I didn't have it because someone else had bought it from another product page (same collection) that showed it was available when it wasn't. How do I make sure the quantity is synced for a product available in different colors. Thank you for your help
I believe there is a track quantity checkbox option which you can enable in the variant customizer from the backend of your store.
So go to the product and edit the variants in your case color and you will find a track quantity checkbox option.
That might help.
Hey Shadab,
I have done that however the inventory quantities (in this case, crop tops in various colors) are not syncing correctly across different product pages. I have multiple items available in different colors, they are part of a collection. Every color has its own product page with the color variants dsiplayed.
Then I am actually not sure what must be causing the issue as I knew this as a solution.
May be check if the continue selling when item out of stock option is enabled. You will pretty much find it on the variant customizer section or on the product page where you add titles, images, etc for the product.
Hope this helps
