Product description not updating on website

I just made some edits to a product description. It's saved on the Shopify backend, but is not updating on my website. I've tried using I'm not a coder so hoping for a simple solution.

I ended up duplicating the product and was able to successfully update that one. Thank you.

Hello @KRSJewelry  would you like to share your store URL. Maybe you're using some sort of catching app that may catch the details for some time. 

Try to use some other browser or device, if it still remains please share the screenshots. Maybe I could help you.

Adding screenshots of the updated product description on shopify vs old description on my website. I have logged into shopify on both google & safari and both show the updated saved description so not sure why it's not updating on my website. thanks!

I saw the product page i saw there is description showing but I think that is old description try to save the page by removing the content and placing the content again

Hi- I'm having this same issue again. It happens when I duplicate a product and then try to edit with a different description - it won't update anything I save. Is there a fix for this? Duplicating products to keep format is easy and quick so I hate to not be able to use this feature. I've tried different browsers and clearing cache - that does nothing.

Hi there, @KRSJewelry! Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community, and following up on this thread! Also, a big thank you for providing a link to your store, and the description from your admin! That definitely makes troubleshooting loads easier!

I took a moment to check out the description on your website and it looks to be a match with the description in your admin! This suggests that the browser you're using was using cookies/cache data saved from previous viewings while looking at the page, instead of providing you with the updated description. You should be able to use a different browser than the one you used originally to see this change reflected!

 



All in all, things look to be alright! Please give using another browser to view the updated text a try, and let us know what you see!

I figured out the issue. I have a product variant app and the old description was stuck in the first variant so I just had to edit in the app versus on the product description!
