All things Shopify and commerce
Having recently moved over to Shopify, I've noticed many of my product images have transparent backgrounds, never used to be an issue, but with Shopify they all now seem to display with a black background instead of white.
Is it possible to fix this without downloading every image and editing each background to white?
es, it is possible to fix this without downloading every image and editing each background to white. One way to do this is to use an image editing software that supports batch processing. With batch processing, you can apply the same image edits to multiple images at once, which can save you a lot of time and effort.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to remove the black background from your product images in Shopify:
Choose an image editing software that supports batch processing. Some examples include Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, and Affinity Photo.
Upload your product images to the software.
Use the software's selection tools to select the black background.
Delete the black background.
Save the edited image with a transparent background.
Use the batch processing feature to apply the same edits to all your product images.
Save the edited images to a folder on your computer.
Upload the edited images to your Shopify store.
By following these steps, you should be able to remove the black background from your product images and replace it with a transparent background without having to edit each image individually.
