All things Shopify and commerce
I'm trying to introduce some inventory management to our store, and have tried using the built in Product Orders for the purpose. The functionality looks great on the surface, however after an hour with it, it's incredibly limited. A Shopify rep pointed me to use Stocky, which looks good, but we need a POS subscription with it...we already have the second to last tier subscription and have no need for POS just for this app. What is everyone using for stock management? Should we extend the Product Orders ourselves? Is this something the Shopify team is working on or is it an abandoned, half finished feature?
Many Shopify users have expressed similar frustrations with the built-in Product Orders feature due to its limitations, and while Stocky is a robust option, the POS subscription requirement can be a barrier for those who don't need it. Alternatives like TradeGecko (now QuickBooks Commerce) or Cin7 can provide more comprehensive inventory management without the need for a POS, and it’s worth checking community forums to see if others have successfully extended the Product Orders feature or if Shopify has plans for enhancements.
