How can I display product sizes on collections pages in my boutique?

How do I get my shopify store (boutique) to show the product sizes on the collections pages before clicking on a certain item? I have tried a couple different apps that did not seem to be what I am looking for. I am super new to shopify and have also seen where people are adding codes but I have absolutely no idea what that means. Please, can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi,

Check this code that works without using an APP. It works with Dawn 2.5 and newer, also to other Shopify 2.0 Themes.  I added an option to add a second variant image, using variant metafield, so the second image show when you hover.
