All things Shopify and commerce
I'm building a Shopify site that is currently unpublished. however, when I set some products to active they now appear in google search results even though the site itself is unpublished. If I set them as drafts then I can't see what they look like when customising the site. Is there any way to remove them from search results?
- is this a shopify issue or a google issue?
To remove products from Google search results while your site is unpublished, set them as "hidden" instead of drafts. This allows you to keep them visible for customization without indexing them in search engines. Additionally, you can request Google to remove outdated content through the Google Search Console.
how do you set it to hidden? my products only have active/draft option.
what are some of the ways to resolve this? if i set all my products as drafts, some of the product images still appear in google searches. how do i fix this?
