I've just recently set up a new shop.  When I "shop" in my store, every product shows up in my catalog or products, but none of them show up in their specific collections.  I'm sure it is an easy fix, but I can not seem to figure it out.

Hello @thesinfulchicke,

If your products are not showing up in some of your collections on your Shopify store, there could be several reasons for this. Below are some steps you can take to fix this issue.

1. Check the product tags
Make sure that the products have been tagged correctly. Go to Products > All products, click on a product, and check that it has been tagged with the appropriate collection tag. If a product is not tagged correctly, edit the product and add the appropriate tag.

2. Check the collection rules
Make sure that the collections have been set up correctly. Go to Products > Collections, click on a collection, and check that the collection rules match the product tags. If the collection rules are incorrect, edit the collection and adjust the rules.

3. Check the collection pages
Make sure that the collections are set to display on the collection pages. Go to Online Store > Navigation, click on the collection page, and check that the collections are listed in the menu and set to display on the page. If a collection is not listed in the menu, add it to the menu.

4. Check the theme settings
Make sure that the theme settings are set up correctly. Go to Online Store > Themes, click on Customize, and check that the collection pages and product pages are set up correctly. If necessary, adjust the theme settings to display the collections and products correctly.

5. Sometimes, the collections may not update immediately after making changes. Clear your cache and refresh the page to see if the collections update.

Hi @thesinfulchicke,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with adding collections to the shop, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I'm fully understanding, are you looking to have those collections populate under the 'Shop' menu?

If so, you will want to ensure those collections are added to the shops Navigation. This will ensure those products and collections will appear to customers when browsing your online storefront. To achieve this, you can create a drop-down menu within the Navigation Section of the Shopify admin.

To complete this, you can follow the steps outlined below:

  • From the Shopify admin, head into Online Store > Navigation.
  • Click Main Menu.
  • Click Add menu item.

  • Enter a name for the menu item.

  • Click the Link field, and then select the link type Collection.
  • Locate the collection within the dropdown.
  • Click Add to save your menu item.

  • Click and drag the menu items to nest below the Shop header item.
  • Click Save menu.

After creating the drop-down menu for your collections, you can then head over to your online shop to ensure those changes have been saved. For more information on the shop's navigation, you can check out our Add, Remove, or Edit Menu Items document as it touches on this further. We also have a great How-To Video that touches on these steps, making it as simple as possible.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Shopify solutions are a joke. Not once have I had shopify solve an issue. It's always someone on a thread, reddit etc.
