Hi,

I want to list an item (eg max quantity 100) where the price goes up by $10 every product sold.

eg 100 avaliable --> first item costs $10

once sold --> 99 avaliable, item costs $20 and so on

The person can only purchase one at a time

Is this possible?

Kind regards

Hey, @kerchief

I would recommend looking into Shopify experts since there doesn't appear to be an existing third-party app that can already accomplish this. With Shopify experts, you can find and hire a developer at a reasonable price to create a custom-coded solution for you. Feel free to check out the Shopify experts directory to get started.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

@kerchief , @Dirk Usemechanic can do this and has a premade script for increasing the price.

https://tasks.mechanic.dev/raise-the-price-of-a-product-after-every-sale

Limiting to 1 per customer requires more setup but can be 80% taken care of through the frontend advanced theme customization to disable add-to-cart and checkout buttons for that product when found in customer orders.

Or again using mechanic to tag the customer with that sku and checking for that sku in liquid conditionals

https://tasks.mechanic.dev/auto-tag-customers-by-purchased-skus

To enforce on the backend would need custom scripting , though there are some tasks to use as starting points.
