I have recently opened my store on Shopify and everything is going good except for the fact I am unable to verify my address for Shopify payments. I have uploaded several recent utility bills and bank statements with my name and address on them but each time I do this the banner telling me my payments are on hold until I provide more info reappears. This has been happening for the last week and a half and I have contacted support who are unable to give me a rough ETA as to when the verification team will look at this and it be resolved. 

 

Is anyone else currently experiencing this or have recently experienced this and would be able to tell me how long it took them for it to be resolved?

 

What makes this more frustrating is that I assumed this would take no more than 72 hours to be completed and I started fulfilling orders to customers which will be refunded to them (around $800) as per Shopify policy if it isn't sorted soon.

I'm experiencing the same thing Chris. They're saying the verification team will contact me via email. Already followed up countless times and its been a week. They didn't provide an estimated time when its gonna be processed too.

 

Can't even upload another file now, it redirects me to the banner again. Which means the file I'm submitting isn't going through.

 

Hoping they'll go through the verification process asap

I’ve been unable to verify my id and now I can’t even access the page to submit my id is there anyway to contact shopify directly to resolve the issue i have no idea what the issue is and have been trying to fix since October

Hey there, I just found the solution and it is working for me, you just need to go to checkout, you are going to find address section, turn off the first one and turn on the second one, then resend the document and voilà, good luck

Thank you bro. I'm happy it worked for you. However, did you receive a notification that it's activated? Because i think that checkout section is related to customers, not admins.

Actually, they send it to me the first time I sended the document on email, since then the keepy asking me to verify the address until I did what I told you to do,
