Purchasing established Shopify store -- keep account or get new one?

I'm purchasing an established Shopify store that has a small retail business but is mainly wholesale. Wholesale sales don't go through the website--we go to shows and have sales reps who sell for us--so the website doesn't get much use. The current owner's Shopify account and inventory process is a bit of a mess, and I'm thinking about starting over from scratch with a new account instead of taking over hers. A couple of questions:

Can the website be moved to a new account without transferring all of the other data? or

Can I somehow ignore the data in her current account and start over?

Or is there a better solution?
