All things Shopify and commerce
Is there a simple way to quickly notify Shopify about minor bugs? I.e. 2 things I've found recently..
1. When updating a product description - if I highlight a section to type over/delete, nothing happens, but on the second try, it works perfectly! Been an ongoing thing for a few months, and isn't a big deal, but it's annoying me and wastes time.
2. In the tags area of product descriptions, the word typed remains after finding current or creating a new tag. Now you have to highlight the word to type over or delete. Again, nothing major just dumb stuff that would be great if fixed.
It's not productive spend 2 hours chatting or calling for such minor things, so in the past, have saved up many issues, then called/chatted, but seems there should be a simpler way to notify them.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful! Sometimes I can't see the forest thru the trees, so I'm assuming i'm just missing it.
And incase anyone asks, I'm on a MacBook Pro, Ventura 13.4.1, have done all the usual things like clear cookies, cache, reboot, clean, etc.
Thank you! 💜🍍🌴

Thank you so much for taking the time to share these issues you are experiencing in your admin. The fastest and most effective way to report these types of bugs or issues is to send us an email through our Help Center detailing it. If you can include a video/screen recording of the issue that is also incredibly helpful for our team. You can use the quicktime tool to take screen recordings on a mac: How to record the screen on your Mac.
Generally, when troubleshooting these kinds of issues the information our team will ask for is this, and if you are able to include it as well it would speed the whole process along:
As you also noted, doing some local troubleshooting to rule out device issues will usually be requested.

@jennsimmons333 How can I report an issue or bug through the Shopify Help Center? I'm not receiving any assistance; the team always responds saying they are not technical and suggest asking in the community forums.

@Ollie Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions.
I have a technical query regarding the store I am currently working on. There seems to be an issue with the Shopify customer events not firing on the
``` 'analytics.subscribe("checkout_completed", async (event) => {' ```
I've followed the integration steps outlined in the Shopify guidelines, but I've noticed that the event is not firing consistently. I'm finding it difficult to debug why it's not firing in some cases. I understand that this is quite technical.
I reached out to Shopify Chat Support (Shopify Inbox) yesterday, but unfortunately, the support expert wasn't able to assist, as this seems to be a technical issue at the code level. Could you kindly advise me on where I can find support for these types of issues?
Thanks for the prompt @hashcode_io.
That would be expected behaviour. Code customizations go beyond our level of support and will need to look into hiring a Shopify Expert. These are trusted third-party agencies and freelancers that work to help build your business. To learn more about this, you can check out our Hiring and Working with Partners document.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
