"Pause and Build" plan after deactivating store

Hi, I deactivated my shopify store a couple months ago because I didn't have enough time to work on it. When I deactivated my store, it asked if I wanted to continue with a pause and build plan for $9 a month. I'm now trying to reactivate my store with the pause and build plan, but I can't find an option for it. The only other way I see to do this is to pay the $35 plan this month and then convert it back to the $9 plan for next month which I don't really want to do because it's a waste of $26.

I'd appreciate if someone could let me know if this is or isn't possible.

Thanks

Hi,

It's understandable that you'd want to avoid paying the full $35 plan when you were expecting to reactivate with the $9 "pause and build" option. Here's a breakdown of the situation and what you can do:

The "Pause and Build" Plan:

  • This plan is designed for store owners who need to temporarily halt sales but still want to maintain access to their Shopify admin to work on their store.
  • It's a lower-cost option to keep your store active in a limited capacity.
  • However, the availability and how to reactivate with this plan can sometimes be confusing.

Why You Might Not See the Option:

  • Changes to Shopify's Plans: Shopify does occasionally update its plan offerings. It's possible that the exact method for reactivating with the "pause and build" plan has changed.
  • Time Passed: There might be a limited time frame in which you can easily return to the pause and build plan. If too much time has passed since deactivation, the system might default to the standard plans.
  • Account Specific Issues: Sometimes, there can be account-specific issues or glitches that prevent the correct options from displaying.

Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.

Richard | PageFly
