I created my shopify account a week prior. For some reason whenever I try to login i get a notification stating the message listed in the subject "Shop is currently not available." The weird part is I am able to login after going through the forgot password prompt but I am unable to enter from the login screen. Any suggestions?

That certainly sounds strange that you are able to log in one way, but not through the main link.
Can you try opening your admin using incognito mode to see if this works? If it does, then can you try clearing your cache and trying once more to log back in normally?
I would also recommend that you ensure your browser is up to date, as this can also cause some issues.
Are you able to access the website from the front end or are you seeing an error message there also?
If you share your store URL, I can check it on my end also to see if I can access this.
