Randomize Product Order On All Products Page

I have an All Products page that currently shows all products from all collections, and sorts alphabetically. The problem with this is that the first page always shows products from one collection, due to alphabetical sorting. I would like to just randomize product order on https://leepowersteering.com/collections/all . Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions.

I'm Ann, from the team here at Shopify 🙂

At this time, the 'collections/all' page isn't built to let you modify the order the products are placed in. This collection will always showcase your products in an alphabetical order. That said, there is a workaround you can try! 

What you will want to do is to create a new collection that has all your products in it. You can see the steps on how to create a collection on this page in our Shopify Manual. Once this collection is created, you can change the order of the products to go in any order you want. It can be manual, newest, best selling, etc. Once you decide on the order you want your products to appear in, you can go through your store and update any links so that instead of people seeing the old all products page, they will see the new one you created instead.

What theme allows random sorting of a collection? Newest, Best Selling or Manual isn't random and it seems I'm not the only one requesting it.

Hi there, @manzoorraypur. Thanks for following up on this older thread! Shopify Support Staff aren't trained on coding, so we wouldn't be able to advise specifically on what code you need to add to your theme, and where, to make this happen. With that being said, there are some methods you can use beyond coding to achieve this functionality:

• You could create manual collections for your products, and then manually adjust how these products appear in the collection manually every so often. This would provide you with total control of how these products would appear in a collection, but can be time consuming and requires manual action.
   
• You could look into a third party app solution. There's an app called 'collection sort and manage' that has over 50 sorting options for your collection. This is definitely something worth looking into to see if it matches what you're looking for!

As there isn't a blanket 'random sort' option, I'm happy to pass your feedback along to our Developers are requesting this be implemented in the future. If you can provide me with some information as to why you were looking for a random sort option, this would be helpful context for us to have to pass along!
