Can you re-appt to work with a brand that previously rejected you? There are some brands that I reached out to years ago who turned me down, but I would like to try again now that I have grown my account. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @JCH1225

If a brand turned you down in the past, that doesn’t mean they’ll reject you again—especially if your account has grown and your content has improved. Many brands reassess partnerships based on updated metrics, audience engagement, and content quality.

Here’s how you can re-apply effectively:

1-Reevaluate Your Value
Before reaching out, take a good look at your current stats—follower count, engagement rate, audience demographics, and past collaborations. If these have significantly improved, you have a strong reason to reconnect.

2-Personalize Your Outreach
Don’t just resend your old pitch. Acknowledge your previous application and highlight what has changed. Example:
"Hey [Brand Name], I reached out a couple of years ago, and while it wasn’t the right time then, I’ve since grown my audience to [X followers] with an engagement rate of [X%]. I’ve also worked with [mention similar brands]. I’d love to explore a collaboration with you now!"

3-Showcase Your Growth
Include specific examples of your improved content, case studies of past successful collaborations, or testimonials from other brands you’ve worked with. Brands love seeing tangible proof of your impact.

4-Suggest a Fresh Collaboration Angle
Maybe they turned you down because your audience didn’t align, or your content style wasn’t the right fit at the time. Offer a new approach—like a different campaign idea or a new content format (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikToks, blog features).

5-Follow Up Strategically
If they don’t respond right away, wait a few weeks and send a polite follow-up. Keep it short and professional, reminding them of the value you bring.

Brands appreciate persistence when it’s backed by real improvement. So go for it! If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply and I will try my best to help.

Best regards,
Daisy
