All things Shopify and commerce
Hi There,
Im pretty new into this business and want to learn a lot about it.
Firstly, Im from North Macedonia and my Shopify account is registered in North Macedonia and now the only payment gateway is 2CheckOut but as everyone can see, they are not supporting dropshippers so it is so hard, I got declined hundrets of times.
So my question is, is it possible to register a new shopify account and in the registration form to put another country where I dont have any documents and stuff like that so I can get more payment gateways options?
I plan to get my money using Wise or Payoneer because PayPal is not available in my country.
I seen something like virtual mail box but Im not sure so I decided to ask here.
I would really appreciate if you can help me somehow.
With Regards,
Teo
HI @teogerovski ,
Hope you are doing well.
Regarding the issue with payment gateways, it is not recommended to register a new Shopify account with false information or use a different country to gain access to more payment gateway options. Shopify requires accurate and legitimate information during the registration process.
Instead, I would suggest exploring alternative payment gateway options that are available in North Macedonia. Wise and Payoneer are excellent choices for receiving payments in your country, and they can be integrated with your existing Shopify account. You can reach out to their customer support or check their documentation to understand how to set up these payment options in your store.
In addition, consider researching virtual mailbox services or third-party fulfillment centers that can provide you with a local address in a supported country. This can help you access more payment gateway options while maintaining compliance with Shopify's terms and conditions.
Remember, transparency and integrity are important in building a successful business. It's always best to work within the guidelines and regulations set by the platforms and payment providers.
I hope this information helps you find a suitable solution.
Hi Webwondersco,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Im a bit confused right now, not that you didnt explained clearly but Im pretty new to understand the things out here.
So if I get a virtual mailbox will I be eligible to open a new account store with that address there?
Also, I tried with Payoneer but didn't succeed.I dont think there is a option with Wise because as I said only payment gateway is 2CO.
You are welcome!
Let me provide some further clarification.
Having a virtual mailbox can provide you with a local address in a supported country, which may open up more possibilities for payment gateways. However, it's important to note that each payment gateway has its own eligibility criteria, and some may still require additional documentation or verification regardless of the address you use. It's recommended to check the specific requirements of the payment gateways you're interested in to determine if a virtual mailbox address would be accepted.
Regarding Payoneer and Wise, it's unfortunate that Payoneer didn't work out for you. Wise (TransferWise) is indeed a popular payment solution for international transfers, but its availability as a payment gateway depends on the integration options provided by Shopify and the supported countries. You can check with Shopify support or explore other payment gateway options to see if there are alternatives available in your region.
In any case, it's important to thoroughly research and understand the requirements and limitations of different payment gateways before making any decisions.
I hope this clarifies things a bit more. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.
Hi,
Thank you for all the info.
Shortly, if the payment gateway supports virtual mailbox then I create new account using the virtual mailbox address and details and Im done right?
@teogerovski , Please check on the below links to the supported payment gateway for your country.
https://www.shopify.com/payment-gateways/north-macedonia
I hope this will help you.
Here it says that alot of payment gateways are available, but once I get to the shopify store only 1 payment gateway is available.
Hello @teogerovski
Hope you are doing well
I recommend using Stripe, Wise and Payoneer for payment integration in north macedonia. They are supported in your region because creating a account would be very challenging .
So I recommend using any of the payment gateway from recommended above.
I don't recommend creating account using different country details.
Hi @dev0506
Thank you so much for your reply.
Trust me I tried everything and I see the only one option like this, I don't want to spend money on some addresses but if I should I would. But the problem is, when I try to register on Stripe my country is not listed there, I tried this before but got no luck, also on the Shopify account when I go to Payment Gateways the only available in my country is 2CheckOut, but they are banning me all the time because Im trying to dropship.
Also, I'm receiving my paycheck from my primary job on Wise, the company is from Germany so how should I intergrate my Wise account or Payoneer into Shopify? Because at the Payment Gateways there is no such a thing like Wise.
Regards
@teogerovski Try contacting 2Checkout customer support and try asking for a solution
@dev0506 I already did, but they said that dropshippers are hard to get into their system, the only solution is to select something else except dropshipping to get accepted, but if they caught you you will get instant ban and your money will be frozen.
The only way I see at the moment is to get a virtual address, but I really don't know the procedure.Should I buy a virtual address and REGISTER COMPLETELY NEW shopify account and when it asks for a country I should state my virtual addresses country and put there all those details right?
@teogerovski yes you can do that in case nothing is working in your case
