Hi,
Weirdly I can't find any search results for this and I'm sure someone must have had this issue before, but how are you supposed to remove a Google Analytics site reference once you've added one? I added it to /admin/online_store/preferences and I have an option to 'change' and 'Add custom JavaScript', but no way to get rid of it. Surely there must be a way?
Hi, Matt.
Brendan here from the Shopify Support team.
To remove the Google Analytics tracking code from your store you'll need to first ensure you're on /admin/online_store/preferences, then click Change and enter a single space where the code would go and hit save. This will clear out what was previously there and allow you to start fresh, should you wish to.
Happy Selling!
Brendan

This doesn't seem to work. When I save, the form element reverts to showing the placeholder, which is an indication that the textarea is empty (no space). And Google Analytics is still on the site. How can this be fixed?
