All things Shopify and commerce
Shoppers beware of buying anything from this store. I don't owen a shop I wanted to report this store, and I'm not sure if this is the right place but I don't know where else to post it.
Store name: Unporte
unporte.myshopify.com
When you visiting the store, they claim to sell gadgets and essential household items. The only products listed are Husky tool box storage and cabinets, which they are selling at a fraction of the retail cost. This significant price appears to be a tactic to lure unsuspecting customers into making purchases, only to never deliver the products.
The contact information provided by the store raises several red flags:
The address listed under "Contact Us" is a multifamily home in New Jersey (6656 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260, USA).
They claim their warehouse is located at 3454 West Montague Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29418, USA, which actually belongs to SpringHill Suites Charleston Airport & Convention Center.
It has been a week since I placed an order but never received any updates on my order, I have only received a confirmation email from the store with the email address abundalakaka716@gmail.com. This email address appears highly unprofessional and suspicious.
I tried to contact shopify support so I can report this store but I haven't had any luck with thier customer support AI. If anyone know how to directly contact shopify support please let me know so I can report it, or feel free to report it.
Hi, @Joecool9090. Thank you for sharing this. For context, Shopify is a software company some businesses use for their own online stores. Shopify doesn't manage businesses that may be associated with us, and we can't confirm which stores are associated with us, so we won't have more information to share about this order or store. If you ever need help with an order it's typically best to speak directly to the store you purchased from. They have the most information to assist. This guide lists some ways you can get in contact with a store about an order. That being said, since you believe this store is using Shopify and violating Shopify's policies, please report it to us using one of the forms on this page. We don't disclose the results of any reviews we do, but this gives us the information to look into whether this is happening on Shopify and allows us to take action where necessary. I also wanted to share this guide with you. We always recommend customers take steps to ensure they trust the store they are purchasing from before placing orders, and the guide I shared has some helpful tips to do this.

Effectively absolving yourself of responsibility to vet the merchants using your platform, a platform which makes fraud so easy to achieve, is completely unacceptable. Your platform is designed to make the process of taking orders and payments incredibly quick and easy, opening it up to fraud. It is your responsibility, as the company that holds the merchant details, to ensure your merchants are legitimate businesses, and to investigate when fraud claims are brought against a merchant.
