I received an email from Shopify that I needed to purchase a licensed theme. I have been using Impulse since 2021 and its still being sold in Shopify theme store. Why would I need to re-purchase a theme that is still in existence? Sounds like Shopify is trying to extort and additional $350 bucks.
Shopify claims my theme is an unlicensed version of of theme Impulse from Archtype themes.
Should I just purchase Impulse again?
Suggestions...Is this a common practice with Shopify?

Shopify does require you to have a licensed theme when operating on our platform. Can you share the to and from section of the email so I can ensure it is sent from a legitimate Shopify email? It also may be best for you to reach out to our live Support Team, as they can access store-specific information and give you a better idea of what the issue is.
