Restricting certain items to certain countries

Hi All,

I need an app that Restricts certain items from my store from going to certain countries in the world but I can't seem to find an app that allows me to do that.

I can understand the importance of controlling where your products can be sold when you are an international business. To ensure that your products can't be shipped to certain countries, you would actually want to setup specific shipping profiles so that customers can't check out those specific items if being shipped to Country X. 

Just hiding the products based on a customer's IP Address would not be enough as IP addresses can be spoofed using a VPN and if the customer had the direct URL for the product they would still be able to load it. If you don't have restrictions at the checkout with shipping profiles, someone can still find and checkout products that you didn't want them to have access to.

Essentially you want to have a shipping profile that includes products that can be shipped everywhere and then a secondary (or more) shipping profiles with the excluded countries and the products that are exclusive. If the available shipping rates are the same across profiles then customers who are eligible for all products will see combined shipping options at the checkout and customers who are not eligible will see no available shipping rates.
